The Salvation Army‘s Western Plains Camp in South Sioux City, Nebraska, situated on Crystal Lake, is a 113-acre camp—formerly known as Camp Goodwill—that will be expanded to support new programs and a larger volume of guests and campers. Partnering with Confluence and DGR Engineering, the design team has expanded landscaping and pathways capturing the scenic forest and designed new lodges as well as a new chapel with picturesque views over the lake. The cabins will be completed in time for summer activities to begin and the remainder of the camp including the Forest Lodge, Boat House, etc. will follow.
