Project
Utilizing a hard-to-find expansive through-block lot in Chicago’s near-north side, FitzGerald devised a unique plan to join with the Fullerton Avenue streetscape a six-story condominium building with traditional building cues and provide 57 condominium units, as well as create an arched entryway to the first of two groupings of luxurious townhomes facing into small private parks, comfortably nestled in the center of the block, away from the busy thoroughfare.
Garages and vehicular traffic on the site are kept within alleys along the site’s perimeter, leaving the Altgeld Club’s courtyards entirely for pedestrian foot traffic, landscaped paths, and green space play areas.
