Project

PNC Bank Branch, Uptown

Located at on the corner of Broadway and Montrose in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood, this 3200 square foot branch is the initial build-out of a tenant space in the Wilson Yard mixed-use development also designed by FitzGerald Associates Architects.

FitzGerald’s commission from PNC was to provide full architectural services for a tenant build-out in a vanilla box shell. The design calls for five private offices, an employee break room, and a teller line that accommodates five employees.

During the design phase, FitzGerald utilized 3D modeling processes to maximize efficiency in space planning as well as to better communicate design intent with the client and construction team.

Utilizing the Chicago Self Certified Architect program, FitzGerald was able to secure a permit for this build-out in only 24 hours. This new PNC branch will be the first tenant to occupy the corner at Broadway & Montrose and joins AT&T, Hair Cuttery, Subway and Chicago Nails in the Broadway Street retail spaces.
