Park Station

Park Station will be the first multiuse development under the new Woodlawn Preservation Ordinance. The development is a transit-oriented, mixed-use redevelopment of a city-owned lot just a block from the CTA Cottage Grove Green Line Stop, in Chicago’s Woodlawn neighborhood. FitzGerald collaborated with Brook Architecture to design this five-story building that will offer 58 apartments from studios to three-bedrooms; 70% of which will be affordable—helping to expand the supply of mixed income housing options in the neighborhood.

At street level, Park Station activates a commercial promenade with generous building setbacks—a key goal of the City of Chicago to reestablish 63rd Street as a neighborhood center. The development brings two live/work units, an outdoor residential amenity patio, 40 auto and 50 bicycle parking spaces, and a community room that will be available for use by the community. The building also provides more than 3,500 square feet of retail space that will support the neighborhood and encourage additional engagement and growth.
