Project
FitzGerald Associates Architects was retained by Walsh Construction to provide full architectural services on the replacement to an aging Metra commuter rail station in Chicago’s Ravenswood neighborhood.
The station consists of two 700-foot platforms with warming stations, new ticketing area, commuter areas and mechanical spaces.
Special consideration has been given to maintaining a low impact on the commuter rail schedule, and FitzGerald has played an active part in the planning of a construction phase that would provide a successful, timely solution while minimizing impact to area commuters and nearby residents.
