Inspire West Town

Inspire West Town is a transit-oriented, 8-story mixed-use project adjacent to one of the world’s busiest roadways, and Chicago’s West Town neighborhood. The development includes ground-level retail and 113 rental apartments—twenty percent of which will be set aside as affordable—from studios to three-bedrooms. Residents enjoy bright living spaces, balconies, and fresh, high-end finishes. Building amenities include a fitness center, a work-from-home lounge with private and communal spaces, a dog spa and outdoor run, a spacious outdoor terrace, and a rooftop party room that opens onto a deck with skyline views, fire pits, and grill stations.

The building sits on a triangular site where each elevation responds to its adjacent streetscape. The faceted façade along the expressway is bold and muscular, following the curve of the street below with occasional setbacks. The Ogden elevation uses a slightly different vocabulary of colored squares that help to break down the visual impact of the building. Along the least-traversed Erie Street, the south elevation presents a two-story brick parking podium underneath the 4,300 square foot outdoor terrace.

The interior design was inspired by all the best elements of urban living with a generous helping of comfort and style. Polished concrete floors, eye-catching lighting, and one-of-a-kind works by local artists welcomes residents home to an elegant lobby that doubles as a casual hangout spot. Corridors with street style-inspired houndstooth carpet lead to bright and airy apartments—many with custom built-in features such as entryway benches, storage, and living room desks perfect for working or learning from home.
