FitzGerald designed this four-story, 16,000 square foot commercial addition to an existing 23,000 square foot residential building in Chicago’s West Loop. The client’s goals were to maximize the value of an existing surface parking lot and diversify the property’s types of leasable offerings.

Using a palette of contextual materials and taking proportion cues from the existing structure, FitzGerald designed a new construction commercial building that features 16,000 subdividable square feet of commercial space and secure indoor parking on the ground floor, usable for both commercial and residential tenants.
