Kathleen is a passionate and driven architectural designer who knew from an early age that she wanted to be in architecture. In high school she took drafting courses and participated in the Newhouse Competition, where she achieved two awards for her talent—the final win granting her an internship, which she swiftly converted into a full-time position. In the years to come, she gained vast experience from design development through the permitting process—in a multitude of project types such as institutional, residential, multi-family, mixed-use high-rise residential, workplace, retail, hospitality, and student housing.
After gathering this wide breadth of knowledge, Kathleen decided to take the necessary steps in her pursuit to become a licensed architect—so she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Her philanthropic spirit and natural leadership have led her to volunteer many times with Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago—each time being a captain or co-captain. In her free time, Kathleen enjoys long-distance running and yoga.
