FitzGerald is pleased to announce that Kathy Graham has been made an equity partner of FitzGerald. She joined the firm in 2006 as Manager of Administration, rose to Director of Finance and Administration, and was named Chief Operating Officer in 2019.
In her role, Kathy provides firm-wide leadership and orchestrates FitzGerald’s resources in pursuit of exceptional project quality, mentorship and growth opportunities for staff, optimal return on corporate investment, and the utmost service to the firm’s clients.
“Kathy has contributed to our success for 15 years, most recently in her role as our Chief Operating Officer, and we are thrilled that she’s taken the next step to become an owner of the firm as we plot our course into the firm’s second century,” said Mike DeRouin, president of FitzGerald. “Kathy has always been a respected advisor and expertly manages the financial and operations side, allowing many of us to focus on architecture and design. It makes for a great team environment, and allows everyone to play to their strengths.”
Kathy becomes the first non-architect, and the first woman, to become an equity partner in the firm’s 102-year history. The current partnership represents the seventh generation of ownership, beginning with Maurice Rissman and Leo Hirschfeld in 1919.
“Collaboration is key to our success, and we strive to infuse a diverse mix of minds, backgrounds, and experiences into our work. I’m proud that we are working toward building a leadership team that fully represents the perspectives and diversity of our firm and our community,” DeRouin said.
