FitzGerald’s Nationwide Reach

2020 represents a new year, a new decade, and—for FitzGerald—the start of our second century of Architecture and Design. This exciting milestone presents us with an opportunity to reflect on what’s next for the firm.

“After years of expanding our practice beyond our home base of Chicago, we now find ourselves in an era of nationwide reach—actively engaged in projects across every region of the United States in multifamily, office, hospitality, senior living, retail, and mixed-use sectors,” said Mike DeRouin, firm president. “The key question for us isn’t what’s next, but rather, where next?”

“Chicago, like countless other places, has its share of pressures on development and construction,” added Mike DeRouin. “We’re seeing investors, developers, and brands investigate markets throughout the country and our team travels with them to provide seamless project delivery. Opportunities abound throughout the United States, and we’re excited to serve our clients, new and old, anywhere they want to work.”

FitzGerald’s team holds licenses in dozens of states and, through the NCARB reciprocity program, can swiftly acquire licensure throughout the country.

As of February 2020, FitzGerald has worked in 27 states and the District of Columbia.
