Spring 2017 Service Projects

As part of our ongoing effort to source and encourage service at FitzGerald, members of the FitzGerald team recently have gone out into the community and offered their time to some very worthy causes.

On Saturday, April 22nd, members of the FitzGerald staff along with friends and family joined dozens of volunteers across the city for Comcast Cares, a day of service at various sites in our neighborhoods. This year our volunteers went to Erie Neighborhood House, which supports Chicago’s West Town, Humboldt Park, and Little Village communities by offering skill-building resources, advocacy, and collaborative action to approximately 5,000 participants a year. Volunteers spent time prepping, painting, and cleaning four large classrooms within the facility.

Last Thursday, May 11th, fourteen members of FitzGerald’s staff participated in Meals from the Heart at Ronald McDonald House. The program allows organized groups to plan, shop for, prepare, and serve a hot dinner to families, guests, volunteers, and staff at the Ronald McDonald House facility near Lurie Children’s Hospital in Streeterville.

Thank you to everyone who participated in both events!
