Groundbreaking at Niche 905

Yesterday, Representatives from Ascend Real Estate Group, Intercontinental Real Estate Corporation, Power Construction, and FitzGerald Associates Architects gathered at the job site at 905 Orleans for the groundbreaking of Niche 905 – an 18-story, 202-unit luxury rental tower.

Located in Chicago’s Near North Side neighborhood, Niche 905 will offer convertible, one-, two- and three-bedroom rental homes in a highly accessible location – close to the Kennedy Expressway and steps from the Chicago Transit Authority’s Brown/Purple and Red lines – with views of Lake Michigan and the downtown skyline. Residences will showcase luxury finishes including quartz countertops, glass tile backsplashes and plank flooring throughout all bedrooms and living areas.

The tower’s full suite of amenities, located on the ground and penthouse levels, will include a sky deck pool and spa; outdoor bar, grilling stations and fire pit; state-of-the-art fitness center with yoga studio; fully equipped business center with conference room; coffee bar; spacious entertainment room; on-site dog run and pet wash station; community garden; bike workshop; and a 110-bike storage area. With anticipated LEED certification, Niche 905 will also include 1,750 square feet of ground-level retail, and parking for 152 vehicles on floors two through four.
