FitzGerald Associates Architects and client Imperial Realty Company have recently received preliminary approval by the Highland Park City Council for a new four-story mixed-use building at 515-555 Roger Williams Avenue, in the Ravinia Business District.
The building will contain thirty apartments, five of which will be set aside as “affordable” per Highland Park zoning regulation. The ground floor of the building will include nearly 5,500 square feet of leasable retail space. The development is positioned mere steps from the Metra Ravinia station, the Robert McClory Bike Path, several city parks, and is less than a mile from the popular Ravinia Music Festival.
Pending final technical approvals, construction is expected to begin on the building Q2 2015.
