FitzGerald Associate Principal Kay Wulf, ASID, IIDA has been selected for inclusion into Women Building Change: Chicago Women in Architecture Celebrates 40 Years. The special exhibition organized by Chicago Women in Architecture (CWA) in partnership with The Chicago Architectural Foundation is both a historical retrospective and a modern reflection on the process of design and the changing roles of women in architecture. It will focus on the design process, people, and the profession of architecture, and highlight the impact of 40 CWA members through Chicago Case studies. Kay will be recognized for her leadership and significant portfolio of work, notably the Kimball Office Chicago Showroom.
Themes including process and profession, pursuing equality, building community, creative home, and preserving significance will shed light on the work of women in the organization. Visitors to the exhibition will also have the opportunity to see the range of architectural drawings, photos, and documents created in the design of a building.
The exhibition opens June 12th and will remain open until December of 2014. Entry is free and the CAF is open from 9 a.m. until 6:30 p.m., 7 days a week.
