Spring Intern Victor Smith Takes Full-Time Position as Staff Architect
Victor Smith, who spent the Spring as an Intern with FitzGerald, has recently completed his Master’s Degree in Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology and will be joining the firm full-time as a Staff Architect. His thesis focused on the design of a cutting-edge sports stadium for the City of Phoenix. Victor has a significant interest in BIM and urban design. In addition to his M.A. from IIT, he earned his undergraduate degree, a B.A. in Architecture, from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
Robbie Brundige Receives License in State of Indiana
Senior Architect Robbie Brundige has completed the necessary requirements to become a Professional Licensed Architect in the State of Indiana. He has been a Licensed Architect in the State of Illinois since 2006. “We congratulate Robbie on this accomplishment,” firm President Mike De Rouin said. “We applaud this milestone and look forward to expanding our business in the area. This license allows us to support our clients with new and existing operations in the state.”
FitzGerald Fields Team at Chase Corporate Challenge
A group of six from FitzGerald Associates Architects competed in the 31st running of the Chase Corporate Challenge on Thursday, May 24th in Grant Park. Over 23,000 people representing 628 organizations throughout Chicagoland turned out on the warm May night to benefit the Greater Chicago chapter of the American Red Cross and Chicago Run. FitzGerald’s effort was organized by team captain Rachel Davis, who was joined by Mike Cody, Molly Kinsella, Aimée Magis, David Monhait, and Scott Shaw.
