FitzGerald Associates Architects has been selected by Smith Carter Architects & Engineers Inc. to provide BIM Modeling and Construction Document Consultation services to the project team for the $71 Million, 11,582 square meter Remai Art Gallery of Saskatchewan, designed by KPMB Architects of Toronto.
FitzGerald will provide these services using the latest technology including AutoDesk Revit Servers and Revit Architecture 2012.
The project will also include a $13.2-million underground parkade owned and operated by the City. The gallery will more than triple the space available for temporary and collection-related exhibitions in the area and will include a community gallery, studio classrooms, a film and lecture theatre, meeting rooms, and flexible spaces for gallery functions as well as other public and private events. The new facility will also include ample and much-needed storage space for the growing permanent collection.
Groundbreaking is scheduled for 2012, with the opening of the Remai Art Gallery of Saskatchewan anticipated for late 2014.
