Wilson Yard Receives LEED Silver Certification from U.S. Green Building Council

Wilson Yard, a 606,000 square foot mixed-use complex designed by FitzGerald Associates for Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood, has recently been awarded LEED Silver Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council and verified by the Green Building Certification Institute.
Located at one of the most preeminent locations in the Uptown neighborhood, Wilson Yard is the $150 Million redevelopment of a century-old Chicago Transit Authority rail yard and repair shop. The project brings a variety of needed retail, residential and green technology to the neighborhood. The project has been awarded a 2011 Chicago Neighborhood Development Award and the 2009 ICSC Future Image Architecture Award in the “Green” category.
