FitzGerald Associates Hires Three Project Architects

Chicago, Ill. (November, 2007) - Eric Brahar, 39, of Chicago, Gregory Church, 43, of Chicago, and Richard Kasemsarn, 37, of Chicago, have been named Project Architects with FitzGerald Associates Architects.  Each will assume responsibility for the creation of project drawings according to firm standards as well as acting as project coordinator on mid- and large-size projects.

“The addition of these three talented individuals strengthens our ability to service our clients as FitzGerald’s business continues to experience growth in the residential, commercial and mixed-use sectors,” said Steve Wasilowski, Chief Operating Officer.  “We’re fortunate to be able to attract such capable architects.”

Eric Brahar brings a diverse range of experience, having worked on national restaurant projects and residential construction including high-rise structures.  Brahar also served in the military from 1986 to 1990, including Desert Storm.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago.  He will be joining the 847 W Jackson and Wilson Yard project teams.

Gregory Church graduated from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan with a B.S. in Architecture in 1988. He worked for various firms in the Detroit area working on interior, retail, commercial, industrial and residential architecture before moving to Chicago.  Since then, he has focused on all aspects of residential architecture including single-family, multifamily, townhome and mixed-use projects, both new construction and restoration.

Richard Kasemsarn graduated from Yale University with a Master of Architecture and the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Architecture.  Prior to joining FitzGerald Associates he was involved with a variety of commercial, residential, hotel and institutional projects.  He is also a registered architect in the State of Illinois.

Established in 1919 as Rissman & Hirschfeld, FitzGerald Associates Architects is a fourth generation Chicago architectural firm. The firm offers its clients a continuum of residential and commercial design services, including development feasibility studies; site design and planning; architectural design; space planning; interior design; historical research and restoration; contract documents and specifications; permit acquisitions; and field observations.
