James joined FitzGerald Associates in 2003 with extensive experience in corporate office design, commercial interiors, religious design, and residential work. His work reflects extensive international experience from overseas projects, personal and educational travel, and his membership on the AIA Committee on Design.

He has been responsible for numerous projects, including 2100, a mixed-use 27 story condominium tower and four story timber loft conversion in Chicago’s South Loop and the Winthrop Club, a mixed-use 15 story luxury condominium tower designed for LEED Silver Certification in Evanston, IL. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from Iowa State University in 1983 and has been a licensed architect in the State of Illinois since 1986.
